USOLMASH flotation machines
Flotation pneumomechanical and mechanical machines produced by USOLMASH are designed for enrichment of ores and non-metallic materials by froth flotation method, except for fibrous ones.
Flotation machines are used at enrichment plants of non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, in chemical and other industries in technological schemes of all flotation operations (main, control, recleaning) with solid content in the pulp up to 50% (by weight), coarseness not less than 45% of class minus 0.074mm and ore density up to 4.7 t/m3.
The company supplies flotation machines of various configurations with a chamber capacity of up to 300 m3.
The impeller and stator ensure stable aeration of the pulp, quality contact of air bubbles with the flotation material, effective air dispersion and uniform distribution of bubbles over the entire volume of the chamber. The vertical stator vanes provide radial flow direction to prevent the flows from rotating in the chamber. The impeller and stator are available in various designs with a coating of wear-resistant elastomers or cast polyurethane.
The machines are assembled from single-chamber and double-chamber sections and are manufactured in right and left-handed versions according to the froth product removal. The movement inside the chamber flows is determined by the design features of the chamber. The machines can be supplied in acid-resistant version. The flotation machines are adapted for the use of the most modern monitoring and control equipment. Due to the modular design the installation and transportation of the flotation machines, which is carried out by rail or road transport is significantly simplified. The flotation machines are supplied in accordance with the requirements of the Customers. The company participates in the supervised installation and in the installation of automatic systems of regulation and control of the machines.
Automated control System
In order to increase the efficiency of flotation machines, they are equipped with an automatic control system, which allows for precise characteristics of the enrichment process mode, reducing the impact of the human factor on product quality, preventing accidents and reducing equipment downtime.
The control system (CS) is designed for automated control of the flotation process.
SU provides:
- Maintaining a set pulp level in the flotation machines.
- Maintaining a set air flow rate in the flotation machines.
- Warning of emergency and abnormal conditions of equipment, as well as its parameters.
- Processing of collected parameters and transferring them to the upper level.
- Ph pulp analysis.
Flotation machines for the enrichment of coal of thin classes
Coal enrichment by flotation, in contrast to gravity methods, has shown itself best when working with the fine fraction. The process of coal flotation is accompanied by high yield of concentrates (80-90%) and insignificant tailings.
Flotation machines and aeration units produced by USOLMASH have successfully proved themselves at the leading coal plants of Russia. They are supplied with different number of chambers with a capacity from 12 to 30 m3. The flotation machines have a modular, easy-to-install design. Required repairs and maintenance of flotation machines are minimized, reducing downtime. The design of the aeration unit allows it to be installed high above the bottom of the chamber, which leads to a sharp reduction in power consumption and wear rate due to its location in the zone with the lowest circulation of coarse-grained particles. It is possible to regulate the impeller rotation speed to ensure adjustment of the technological process. This machine is equipped with a dosing and control system with support of a top-level Automated Process Control System. The equipment has high performance, efficiency, reliability and durability.
Engineering and technical staff of the design and technological department simulate the equipment using the latest technologies of three-dimensional computer-aided design (3DCAD), which allows to prepare technical documentation in a short time with high quality. Maximum extraction and high efficiency are achieved through careful study of all machine elements and auxiliary equipment. The use of our accumulated experience in the field of enrichment technologies and equipment allows us to implement technological and general engineering solutions taking into account the use of progressive equipment and modern construction materials that ensure long-term and reliable operation. In addition to individual machines, it is possible to develop a project and supply a complete flotation unit.
Flotation machines for the enrichment of potash ores
Flotation enrichment of potassium chloride from sylvinite ores is currently the main method of producing potash fertilizers at domestic and foreign enterprises. The main direction in the technology of enrichment and automation of modern potash flotation plant processes is to obtain high-quality fertilizers with minimal losses of useful substances and high technical and economic indicators.
USOLMASH manufactures flotation machines for the enrichment of potash ores with a fluidized bed of FKM series in which the following technical features are applied:
- Power Pocket and discharge pocket with pulp level regulating element in the chambers.
- The partitions between the pockets have an adjustable cross-section design of the sand window.
- The froth product drain thresholds are adjustable for the height of the drain level on each chamber.
- The circulation pocket, dispersion and aeration zone grates, and dampers have a removable design for quick replacement during scheduled maintenance. The circulation pocket provides for height adjustment of the suction slot.
- The set of dampers is made in the form of a removable monoblock.
- The frame for the impeller and electric motor block has a modular design, which makes it possible to replace the impeller and electric motor block separately, the impeller and electric motor block as a whole on a monoblock frame with the possibility of centering the V-belt drive outside the flotation machine chambers.
- The design of the froth shaft has detachable, quick-release vanes. The shaft has a detachable design.
- A high-pressure system for flotation machine chamber flushing has been applied.
- Platforms for inspection, maintenance, equipment repair, food sampling and drainage areas are made of composite material with the possibility of manual removal.
- The flotation machine chambers use specially designed grids that eliminate turbulence in the froth layer to ensure increased mineralization of air bubbles in the fluidized bed, which increases the degree of extraction and reduces operating costs.
Flotation machines and aeration units manufactured by USOLMASH are used at potash plants in Russia and neighboring countries, proving their high technological efficiency and reliability year after year.
