Mine construction

Tunneling shelves

A hanging sinking platform is an integral part of an equipment system for the vertical shaft sinking operation.

The sinking platforms are designed to provide the permanent shaft support, suspend a rock loading machine, protect the workers located in the pit bottom, secure the guide ropes of the muck buckets, place the machinery, pneumatic systems and electrical equipment.

The conventional designation of platforms shall include the following:

  • name/description;
  • number of storeys;
  • nominal diameter of the mine shaft;
  • climatic design;
  • designation of these technical specifications.

The copra is tunneling

The pit heads in combination with a lining platform and an unloading machine are designed for sinking of the shafts with the diameter of up to 8 m and the depth of up to 1200 m.

The reusable pit head is made of the pipes, it has a prefabricated demountable structure with a rack spacing of 12x12 m; 14x14; 16x16 m. The installation of the pit head metal structures is performed using the high-strength bolts.

Forms

The self-tearing formwork with a removable pallet is designed for the construction of vertical shafts in the mine.

The main units of the formwork include a shell consisting of a set of sections, a frame and four hangers.

The operating principle of the formwork is as follows. After completion of the wall concreting, the winch lifts the frame up using four hangers, and then freely lowers down.

The frame and shell design are such that when in the case of free fall under its own weight pressure, the frame compresses the shell, while reducing its outer diameter, as a result of which it breaks away from the concrete. Then, as the shaft deepens, the formwork goes down and the cycle is repeated.

The conventional designation of the formwork shall include the following:

  • functional diameter D, mm;
  • functional height H, mm;
  • design and placement category;
  • technical specifications.
